What is your licence? Why do I need one?
When you first start training with the school we only ask you to carry out basic non-contact techniques. Once you become proficient and you want to move on to more advanced semi-contact techniques, such as sparring or grappling, you will need to obtain a current licence.
What does my licence give me?

Your licence will register you with the British Combat Association which is a national association.

It will entitle you to one million pound general liability & member to member cover, (i.e. sparring with another student).

Personal accident, capital benefits (Death, permanent disability).

Two hundred and fifty pounds Dental cover for any one accident (fifty pounds excess).

Two hundred and fifty pounds Physio (fifty pounds excess).

Loss of earnings, fifty pounds weekly (28 days excess).

Hospitalisation twenty five pounds per day (max 90 days).

Age 5 to 65.
Any and all accidents and/or incidents are first thoroughly investigated by both John and Geoff before any further action is taken.
Licences are sixteen pounds. We would ask you to pay cash do to the fact we no longer acccept cheques. You will need to fill in an application form, correctly and completely, this should be handed to Geoff along with any monies. To renew a licence you still need to fill in a form, Correctly and completely, this is just incase your medical or other personal circumstances have changed. These forms will be held on file by Geoff. Only John and Geoff will get to see these forms. NO ONE ELSE. Should you decide to leave the club the forms will be destroyed on the date that your licence expires and the BCA informed. The expiry date of all licences are checked regulary.
Geoff will not process a licence application without a properly filled in form, this means filling in all sections and questions.
